Hector Palacios ebbf61e15c global: rework Digi DT overlays filename structure
Device tree overlays now have the extension 'dtso' that
distinguishes them from board 'dts' files, so there is
no need for a prefix '_ov_' to tell if a file contains
a DT overlay.

To make them shorter and easier to tell the platform they
are for, change the filename format to:

  <platform-name>_<functionality>.dtso

where <platform-name> can be the name of the SOM or the
name of the DVK, so there is no need either to specify
'som' or 'board' on the filename.

Gabriel Valcazar 767a3a4929 Replace bz2 rootfs tarball compression with xz compression
We tested all tarball compression formats supported by poky, and although bz2
has faster (de)compression time, xz is better in terms of compression ratio:
for all of the rootfs tarballs generated for our currently supported
images/platforms (15 at the moment), the xz format saves an average of 30 MiB
per tarball compared to bz2, totalling up to 450 MiB.

No extra dependencies are pulled in, since xz-native is already being pulled in
for all of our image builds, so the only drawback to this change is the
increased compression time (+7.34s on average per tarball).

Gabriel Valcazar d13b42492f Rework ccimx8x imx-boot/u-boot recipes to reduce number of imx-boot artifacts
Now that both U-Boot and the SCFW can autodetect the RAM configuration, we can
simplify the imx-boot build process to generate two binaries (one per SOC
revision) instead of eight. Build "flash_spl" imx-boot images and use only one
global defconfig for u-boot.

Hector Palacios b4c65056fa dey-image-installer: remove boot-artifacts.bbclass
The class 'boot-artifacts.bbclass' was created to generate a
list of the bootable artifacts that must be copied from the
deploy dir to the installer ZIP file, so that the installer
has all the possible bootloader files to update any variant
of the hardware.
The class was somewhat over-engineered to produce the list,
specially for the cc8x, with the variants of SoC revision,
RAM size and width. With the arrival of ST family, it got
more complex, as the artifacts don't even come from U-Boot
recipe.

To remove complexity, this commit removes the bbclass and
moves the list to the platform config file.

Hector Palacios fbeb7f6720 read-only: remove regular rootfs fstypes for read-only-rootfs
If IMAGE_FEATURE 'read-only-rootfs' is active, the rootfs image
will be SQUASHFS.
Remove other root file system images, such as ext4, ubifs, sdcard.gz
to avoid confusion and use by install scripts.

Gabriel Valcazar d3a6920a07 dey-image-qt: compress .sdcard images by default
These images are comprised of the bootloader, linux and rootfs images. Since
the rootfs images are highly compressable, we can compress the .sdcard file as
well to reduce the space taken up by build artifacts.

Gabriel Valcazar bbdf745661 dey-image-qt: compress .ext4 images by default
Since these images are highly compressable, this greatly reduces the amount of
space taken up by build artifacts.

Modify the code used to generate the .sdcard and .installer.zip files so that
they contain the decompressed .ext4 image.

This machine was not building the 512MB 16bit U-Boot.

Hector Palacios 3786647d1c ccimx8x/mn: rename dt overlays filenames
Follow the syntax:

  _ov_<som|board>_<functionality>[_<hardware>].dts

where:
_ov_ identifies the file as an overlay.
som|board identifies whether the overlay applies to the SOM
		or to the carrier board.
functionality identifies the function of the overlay.
hardware identifies the hardware to which the overlay
		applies.

Gabriel Valcazar bc7320f203 ccimx8x: add support for QXP overlay
Each platform now has only one base device tree, meant for the i.MX8DX variants
of the ccimx8x boards. Apply the QXP overlay in the bootscript if the SOC is
identified as an i.MX8QXP.

Since we want to give this overlay a higher priority than the SOM overlays
(wifi and bluetooth), prepend it to the overlay list after appending the SOM
overlays.

Additionally:
   - The handling of gpios has been swapped so 'Set low XBEE_SLEEP_RQ' is done
before 'Power cycle XBEE_RESET_N' to assure the device doesn't enter sleep mode.
   - Removed ExecStop entry from systemd service since it's doing nothing.

Hector Palacios 2778713ef8 xbee: added new recipe for XBee hardware initialization
This recipe adds a script and a related systemd service that
configures two GPIOs (user defined, or else platform-defaults) as
output and sets them to the appropriate value for initializing the
XBee socket:
 - XBEE_SLEEP_RQ: is set low, for running the XBee
 - XBEE_RESET_N: is set low and then high, to reset the XBee

The service triggers on the condition that the UART TTY device node
pointed to by variable XBEE_UART exists.

updated on the boot script. While on it, add support for all the SOM

Hector Palacios 9650efe7e0 firmware-qualcomm: add support for QCA6574 in ConnectCore 8X
The firmware-qualcomm recipe now provides the Bluetooh and WiFi firmware
for QCA6564 (CC6UL, CC6PLUS) and QCA6574 (CC8X).

The Bluetooth firmware is the same for both chip models.

Regarding the Wifi firmware:
- If using the QCA6564, the proprietary firmware is used.
- If using the QCA6574, the recipe allows to select between the proprietary
or the community driver (via QUALCOMM_WIFI_DRIVER), and will install the
associated firmware. For the community driver, the firmware files have
been copied from linux-firmware repo at SHA1 7518922bd5b9, except for
the file 'board.bin' which needs to be substituted with the proprietary
one by Qualcomm. Default, is to use the community driver.

The do_install() has been improved for re-using the variables with the list
of files.

The package has been renamed basing on the QCA_MODEL variable which can
be set per platform.

Hector Palacios 8af8817796 u-boot: add support for U-Boot v2017.03
This adds support for U-Boot v2017.03 for all platforms (including CC8X).

For legacy v2015.04:
  - Renames u-boot.inc as a versioned file only for v2015.04.
  - Moves boot/install scripts from versioned folder into non-versioned
folder (since the scripts remain the same between versions).

For new v2017.03:
  - Re-uses poky's u-boot.inc in rocko for v2017.03
  - DEY recipe re-writes the do_compile for special U-Boot configuration
    required for TrustFence.
  - DEY recipe appends the do_deploy, for U-Boot scripts and deploy of
    special TrustFence artifacts.
  - Adds u-boot-dtb.xxx to UBOOT_CONFIG, required for new U-Boots.
  - Adds CC8X scripts.
