Arturo Buzarra e87f7d0a5b u-boot-dey: ccmp1: refresh installer scripts for Yocto 5.0 support
This commit updates the installer scripts to support CCMP1 platforms under
Yocto 5.0, aligning them with the current behavior used for CCMP2.
Changes include:

- Adding support for the metadata partition, which is now required
- Including the optee/opteemin flavors in boot artifact filenames
- Ensuring the script structure and logic remain consistent with CCMP2 install scripts

Arturo Buzarra 87aa304a2c tf-a-stm32mp: use MACHINE variable for final metadata binary symlink
Currently, the final metadata symlink is composed using the TF-A Device Tree
configuration, which includes memory variant details. However, these variants
are not relevant for the metadata binary.

To avoid generating multiple redundant metadata files or using confusing names,
this commit updates the symlink to be composed using the MACHINE variable
instead.

Arturo Buzarra 9e6e94d844 ccmp15/ccmp13: fix BOOTABLE_ARTIFACTS for CCMP1 platforms
In Yocto 5.0, the boot artifacts for CCMP1 platforms are compiled using the
opteemin flavor. This commit updates the BOOTABLE_ARTIFACTS definition to
reflect that change and properly integrate the boot artifacts into the ZIP
installer.

Gabriel Valcazar c728854f5c Revert "stm32mp: gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad: revert STM patch to fix .flv video playback"
After more in-depth testing, we discovered that the flv/ogv video issues on the
ccmp25-dvk don't happen when playing videos with standard resolutions. Since
the workaround consisted of reverting a patch backported from upstream
gstreamer, and it only fixed flv video playback anyway, revert said workaround
and test using videos with standard formats.

This reverts commit e09eff7e1a.

Hector Palacios 3c6d3d356b ccmp1/ccmp2: clear ALSA_LIST with override and move it to include file
ALSA_LIST variable is weakly set through an override (stm32mp1common or
stm32mp2common). When the override is in place, the hard assignment of
the plain variable is not enough, and the value weakly set in
meta-st-stm32mp layer takes precedence over the plain variable hard
assignment.
Clear the variable with the override and move it from machine config files
to the include file.

Hector Palacios 51116d4065 ccmp1: use 'opteemin' BOOTSCHEME_LABELS for ccmp15 by default
Move BOOTSCHEME_LABELS from common include to platform config

Default to:
- 'opteemin' for ccmp15
- 'optee' for ccmp13

This doesn't change the behavior present in DEY-4.0, where OPTEE in ccmp15
was minimal and running on non-secure DDR.

In our case, we do not need to manually install the tools or generate the keys
beforehand, as this is automatically handled by Yocto in our DEY distribution.

Device tree overlays now have the extension 'dtso' that
distinguishes them from board 'dts' files, so there is
no need for a prefix '_ov_' to tell if a file contains
a DT overlay.

To make them shorter and easier to tell the platform they
are for, change the filename format to:

  <platform-name>_<functionality>.dtso

where <platform-name> can be the name of the SOM or the
name of the DVK, so there is no need either to specify
'som' or 'board' on the filename.

Gabriel Valcazar dbdaf63bfc freescale: linux-imx-headers: replace linux-imx repo with linux-dey
This recipe extracts a small set of UAPI header files form the linux-imx tree.
However, the revision these headers are extracted from is already present in
our linux fork, so bitbake is currently fetching the linux-imx repo to obtain
some files that it can also obtain from our fork. This is impractical because
the repo in question is quite large (~2.80 GiB) and only getting larger with
time.

By modifying the recipe to use our linux fork instead of NXP's, we avoid having
to fetch NXP's repo.

Hector Palacios 61eb1bfbe6 tf-a-stm32mp: create symlinks to TF-A artifacts in subfolders
The following TF-A artifacts are deployed to subdirectories of
the image deploydir:
  - arm-trusted-firmware/tf-a-<platform>-<bootconfig>.stm32
  - arm-trusted-firmware/metadata-<platform>.bin
  - fip/fip-<platform>-<bootconfig>.bin
  - fip/fip-<platform>-ddr-<bootconfig>.bin

These binaries are not copied to the image deploy dir during
the regular do_deploy(), instead, they are deployed by script
tf_a_sysroot_populate() which is added to SYSROOT_PREPROCESS_FUNCS.

To follow this logic, change the previously wrong do_deploy:append
into a new function and append it also to SYSROOT_PREPROCESS_FUNCS,
so that it is called after the artifacts have really been deployed.

In the existing code, fix the paths and commands, which had some
errors.

Gabriel Valcazar 5222e237d9 ccimx91-dvk.conf: use SoM-specific override to set SECO_FIRMWARE_NAME
A recent meta-freescale update broke the firmware-ele-imx recipe by setting
a default SECO_FIRWARE_NAME value containing a SoC revision macro we don't
have access to (IMX_SOC_REV_LOWER). Like we do for the ccimx93, use our SoM's
override to overwrite the meta-freescale value with our own.

This override was recently added to meta-freescale's graphical package recipes

those that use the Mali one. Without this change, a lot of these recipes are
broken, so sync with the latest changes in meta-freescale's imx-base.inc file.

Gabriel Valcazar 47709a4216 stm-st-stm32mp: weston: restore wl_shell functionality to weston 13.0.1
We apply a very similar patch to the i.MX fork of weston 12.0.4, but we never
needed this patch for stm32mp platforms because they used to have 10.0.2, which
has wl_shell support. Now that stm32mp platforms use 13.0.1, use the 12.0.4
patch as reference and adapt it so it applies and builds correctly.

This makes it possible to run the LVGL demo on the ccmp25-dvk.

Gabriel Valcazar 767a3a4929 Replace bz2 rootfs tarball compression with xz compression
We tested all tarball compression formats supported by poky, and although bz2
has faster (de)compression time, xz is better in terms of compression ratio:
for all of the rootfs tarballs generated for our currently supported
images/platforms (15 at the moment), the xz format saves an average of 30 MiB
per tarball compared to bz2, totalling up to 450 MiB.

No extra dependencies are pulled in, since xz-native is already being pulled in
for all of our image builds, so the only drawback to this change is the
increased compression time (+7.34s on average per tarball).

Gabriel Valcazar b143804dbb nativesdk-packagegroup-sdk-host: only include optee dependencies when needed
Both python3-cryptography and python3-pyelftools are needed to compile optee-os
with a Yocto-generated SDK, but we were adding these packages to all i.MX SDKs,
even for platforms that don't use optee. This wouldn't be a problem if it
weren't for the fact that python3-cryptography is implemented in rust, and its
inclusion in the SDKs forces bitbake to generate the rust compiler just for
that package.

Only include these python packages for platforms that use optee.

Gabriel Valcazar 99134ca87c imx-digi-base.inc: Set generic tuning for i.MX8/i.MX9
This replicates meta-imx commit addc08b02f9a, which was added to be able to
re-use packages in i.MX8/i.MX9 builds. Without this change, there are
compilation errors when building recent versions of the onnxruntime package
because some .S files are built with specific -march switches that conflict
with our current tunings. For example, when building for the ccimx8x-sbc-pro:

cc1: error: switch '-mcpu=cortex-a35+crc+crypto' conflicts with '-march=armv8.2-a+fp16' switch [-Werror]
[...]HalfGemmKernelNeon.S:151: Error: selected processor does not support `fmla v20.8h,v16.8h,v0.h[0]'

Using the generic tuning solves this issue, and according to the log in the
original meta-imx commit, this has minimal to no impact on binaries, so use
said tuning in all relevant platforms.

Gabriel Valcazar c7b2c5e94c Generalize WAYLAND_DISPLAY variable at a platform level and set a default value
The value of this variable is always the same within a platform, so it doesn't
make sense to have different variables for it in each recipe that requires it.
While at it, it seems like all currently supported platforms in DEY 5.0 use the
same value of "wayland-1", presumably because they all use similar versions of
wayland/weston. Set this as the default value for all platforms for now. As we
support more platforms, we can adjust this value if needed, but if it ends up
being the same for all platforms, we can just hardcode it.

while in Yocto 5.0:

    19 nov 19 17:57 ccimx8x-sbc-pro--6.6-r0.0-ccimx8x-sbc-pro-20241119164948.dtb -> ccimx8x-sbc-pro.dtb
    19 nov 19 17:57 ccimx8x-sbc-pro-ccimx8x-sbc-pro.dtb -> ccimx8x-sbc-pro.dtb
151552 nov 19 17:57 ccimx8x-sbc-pro.dtb

Gabriel Valcazar f02d6f9f3c trustfence-cst: use the same toolchain when building internal openssl and cst
An internal build of openssl is compiled as part of the cst build process,
which is later linked statically to the tool. When building the nativesdk
version of cst, openssl's internal "Configure" tool chooses Yocto's nativesdk
compiler for its compilation (x86_64-deysdk-linux-gcc). However, cst's Makefile
uses host tools by default, meaning it will compile its C files with the host's
gcc and link the final binary with the host's ld. This can lead to errors due
to the Yocto nativesdk compiler including symbols in the openssl libraries that
are unknown to the host's linker.

For example, when attempting to build nativesdk-trustfence-cst in Yocto 5.0 on
Ubuntu 2020.04, the following linker error appears multiple times:

undefined reference to `__isoc23_strtol'

Fix this by making sure cst uses the same toolchain as the one used when
building the internal openssl libraries (and ultimately, when the final binary
is linked together). This doesn't affect the native version of cst, which uses
the host's toolchain.

In meta-freescale commit 4d64dde1686a017ebe2763dd7880563a6fc51b53,
compile_mx8m() was modified to account for possible configuration suffixes in
the dtb filename via the creation of a symlink. In our case, the filename is
the same as the target, causing the dtb to get replaced with a dead symlink.

Check that weston-start exists before modifying it: after a recent change in
poky's weston-init recipe, this file only gets installed in non-systemd images.

Remove hardcoded systemd service path: some of the code ported from
meta-st-openstlinux assumes that the original weston-init systemd services are
installed under /lib, and it uses hardcoded paths to detect them. Yocto 5.0 now
has usrmerge enabled, so the services are installed in /usr/lib instead,
causing the check to fail. Replace the hardcoded path with its respective

Gabriel Valcazar 8d7680d1d6 global: remove IMAGE_NAME_SUFFIX from IMAGE_LINK_NAME
poky has reworked the format of image names, hardcoding the IMAGE_NAME_SUFFIX
(.rootfs) into IMAGE_LINK_NAME, the name used for image symlinks. This would
only be considered a cosmetic change if it weren't for the fact that we have
scripts and test infrastructure that relies on the old image name format, and
this change would force us to rework it all.

Remove the suffix from the link name to maintain our image name format, and
reflect this name in our custom image type scripts. Note that this removes
".rootfs" from several files, for example:

    * .rootfs.ext4.gz is now .ext4.gz
    * .rootfs.cpio.gz.u-boot.tf is now .cpio.gz.u-boot.tf
    * .rootfs.ubifs is now .ubifs
    * .rootfs.sdcard is now .sdcard

However, symlink names and non-rootfs files (.boot.vfat, .recovery.vfat...)
are unchanged.

Gabriel Valcazar e19724efcd freescale-layer: remove upstreamed imx recipes and modifications
Back in Yocto 4.0, we applied some imx recipe changes exclusively for the
ccimx93 from meta-imx's rel_imx_6.1.55_2.2.0 tag, but now these changes have
been upstreamed in the meta-freescale scarthgap branch. Since there currently
isn't an NXP BSP based on scarthgap, make all platforms use the upstreamed
versions of the recipes, which are the same versions or newer as the ones
available in meta-imx

Remove the recipes for:

Hector Palacios 1624ec2bc2 optee-os-stm32: reduce verbosity of SCP firmware
The SCP firmware introduces too much verbosity (with
timestamp included) in the middle of the boot log
between the TF-A and U-Boot.
Reduce the log and remove compiler flags for errors
on unused variables (banner strings).

This removes the following messages from SCP firmware:

  [ 0.000000] SCP-firmware v2.12.0-dev
  [ 0.000000]

Gabriel Valcazar 8fad761961 ccimx6ul: install_linux_fw_uuu.sh: increase timeouts to account for large NANDs
When running the installation script on variants with larger NANDs, two of the
script's commands take longer than our intended timeouts under specific
circumstances:

    * When the variant has a NAND with 512 MiB or more and singlemtdsys is set
to "yes", running ubivolscipt takes longer than our 10 second timeout.
The larger the NAND storage size, the longer this command takes.
    * When the variant has a 1 GiB NAND, singlemtdsys is set to "yes" and
dualboot is set to "no", the update of the recovery UBI volume takes
longer than our 15 second timeout.

In both of these cases, the script fails and the installation process cannot
continue. Apply the following changes to prevent this:

    * Increase the ubivolscript timeout from 10 seconds to 30
    * Increase the recovery update timeout from 15 seconds to 20

Also, remove the command immediately before ubivolscript is run, since said
command is already being run at the beginning of ubivolscript.

Hector Palacios f55c084064 libubootenv: flush changes to fw_env.config on post inst script
On devices with NAND as storage media, a post install script
modifies the fw_env.config file basing on the NAND geometry.
This only happens once after deployment, typically on production
environments. If the power is removed soon after the post install
script runs (which is a normal procedure on manufacturing
environments), there are chances that pending file system
operations have not been flushed, which may occasionally lead
to the fw_env.config file end up empty on the next reboot.

This commit adds a sync at the end of the post-install script
to guarantee the changes are written to the file system.
